It’s 2014 and its been a long winter! Very happy to say that I have again signed for MP Motorsport – racing in not only the British GT championship but also the Blancpain Endurance Series with my usual team mate Mark Poole. MP Motorsport now have two Aston Martin GT3s and plan to use one in each championship. We are being run by Prodrive this year and have a great team of people with a huge amount of experience. Our third driver for BES is our good friend Joe Osborne, he was an obvious choice given the three of us drove to a great second place finish at Silverstone last year and we hope to continue that form.
On top of all this I’m very happy to say that I have also signed as a factory driver for Aston Martin Racing! It’s a great opportunity for me and I cant wait to start working with the team.
It’s important for AMR to be seeking to identify and develop the professional drivers of the future who can follow in the likes of Darren Turner and Stefan Mucke’s steps and it’s great to see Richard Abra join Jonny Adam as a factory signed driver for 2014 as the team embark on an its most extensive programme in the 10 years of AMR. A full programme in British GT and Blancpain this year in a car that will be run and engineered by the team at Aston Martin Racing will give Richard a real opportunity to embed himself within the team and show his potential in all areas that are now required from a professional driver from competitive championship level on track driving, developing other drivers, through car and team development, team PR, sponsorship and other duties and additional driving responsibilities and opportunities that arise across the year. – John Gaw
Winter testing has gone very well. All of us have been fast and very prepared for the first race in April which is in Italy at the amazing Monza Circuit.

I have a new personal sponsor on board this year called One Global, a new recruitment company in London. I look forward to working with them and hopefully we can bring them some results! Also I have joined up as an official supporter of the Poppy Factory. They do some great work, using their unique expertise to help their clients find work with many commercial organisations all over the UK. I am hoping to raise awareness and give them as much exposure as I can.
